Description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Fertilizer Specialist on a permanent basis at any of our office locations in Calgary, Saskatoon or Winnipeg with remote work options available.

Who we are:

What you'll do:

You will work close with Fertilizer Merchants and be responsible for the research, sourcing, negotiation, and purchase administration of fertilizer products on behalf of local Co-ops in Western Canada.

You will be responsible for the prompt and accurate management of the fertilizer order process which includes:
Supplier Purchase Order setup and communication to suppliers
Local Coop work order setup and communication
Release Number management (purchase order/work order documentation and communication)
Inbound product receiving and outbound shipment documentation
Accounts Payable (purchase order invoice) and Accounts Receivable (local Coop invoice) processing
Creating and monitoring inventory levels within the FCL inland fertilizer terminals and replenishing products as required
You will develop and monitor leadingindicator fertilizer reports that highlight CRS exposure and support the Fertilizer Teams understanding and responsiveness to key product programing requirements and monthly contract execution expectations.
You will interact daily with both local Coops and supplier contacts to help facilitate the smooth and efficient movement of fertilizer products and addressing general questions that relate to contracts and shipment information.
You will assist the Central Procurement Team in implementing protocols and standard operating procedures for the Fertilizer Team Department.
You will be required to travel as needed to the office for meetings, or to the terminals for coverage.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and:

You have a Degree in Agriculture or Commerce.
You have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Fertilizer industry experience is considered an asset (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
You're extremely well organized, strong communicator, customer service oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office.
You're honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
