We are currently looking for a Supervisor of Membership Services to join our team of committed professionals. This full-time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario's Durham location in Sudbury.

Under the leadership of the Branch Manager of Health and Wellness, the Supervisor of Membership Services is responsible for coordinating the operation of programs and services for all membership sales and services according to YMCA policies, procedures, and standards.

This includes membership sales, retention, new member acquisition, customer service and fiscal responsibility.

RATE OF PAY:
$51,000 per year


HOURS: 40 hours per week

Major Responsibilities

  • Actively participate on the Membership Services department schedule including frontline operation of Membership desk
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of the innovative strategy to meet budget, sales and member retention targets
  • Provide leadership and coordinate the operation of the membership department, including but not limited to sales and customer service, registration, building tours, and financial assistance
  • Provide training to staff and volunteers on a regular monthly basis
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff, volunteers, and schedule training events for staff and volunteers to ensure compliance with mandatory certifications
  • Coach and support staff on how they can efficiently engage volunteers
  • Assist in the development of the department budget and to attain targets
  • Provides leadership to the level of service delivery for the department using Priority SAM Standards
  • Build relationships with members and guests, and promote the YMCA as a charitable organization

Qualifications:


  • College diploma or University degree in Recreation, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • YMCA Fitness Certification or equivalent considered an asset
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of two (2) year of customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
  • Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
