    DUTIES
    The successful candidate will report to the Systems Officer, Registrar's Office, and the Delivery Services Coordinator, Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL).

    Within the Registrars' Office, the Intermediate Clerk Stenographer is required to perform moderately difficult and varied clerical work, which involves some independent judgement. Duties include ensuring a positive customer service experience for those engaging with the front counter; typing documents; assisting with various activities related to admissions, registration, final examinations, and convocation; responding to telephone, email, or in person inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and the general public regarding all functions of the Registrar's Office; updating Student Banner records; processing requests for transcripts, waivers, rereads, and confirmation of enrolment; photocopying; filing; and performing other related duties as required.

    The Intermediate Clerk will also be responsible for assisting the CITL with the administration of in-person invigilated exams for online courses. Duties include booking rooms; assigning rooms appropriate to the needs of the student or exam; ensuring necessary equipment is set up and available for students with accommodations; recruiting potential invigilators on Grenfell Campus for CITL; receiving or printing exams; distributing exams and related materials to invigilators; sending communication to invigilators, staff, and students; and performing other related duties as required.

    This position will work 20 hours per week with the Registrar's Office, Grenfell Campus, and 15 hours per week with the CITL.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience (1-2 years) in general administrative work; graduation from high school supplemented by diploma in office administration; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Excellent working knowledge of computers and applications, including MS Office, is required. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills; excellent interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills; exceptional customer service and attention to detail; the ability to work independently and as part of a team; and the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.

    SALARY $43,119 - $50,582 per annum (CUPE 1615)
