ABOUT US:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Clinical Director and Management Team, the Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) is primarily responsible for:

• Supervising skill acquisition and behaviour reduction programs: conducting assessments; creating and updating treatment plans and reports, materials, and data collection systems; providing Behaviour Interventionists with initial and ongoing training and supervision; assisting in the management of behaviour that is deemed unsafe; and participating in staff meetings, progress meetings, and team meetings.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members.
• Contributing feedback to staff performance evaluations.
• Promoting awareness, acceptance, and community relationships for the organization.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently holds an active BCBA certification. Individuals who have recently completed their master's degree and are waiting to take the BACB exam may be considered.
• Minimum two years' experience overseeing ABA programs for children and adolescents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Experience supporting individuals across the autism spectrum, including those who use augmentative and alternative communication and exhibit dangerous behaviour.
• Physically able to assist with lifting, holding, and positioning learners with physical and behavioural needs.
• Ability to resolve conflict, work effectively under pressure, and remain calm in stressful situations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Is on the Registry of Autism Service Providers or has qualifications to gain this designation is an asset.
• Qualified to supervise trainees accruing fieldwork toward BCBA, BCaBA, and RBT certification is an asset _._
