Job Description:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead a high performing team in the delivery of complex multidisciplinary water and wastewater projects.
  • Work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and clients.
  • Work closely with process engineers and other discipline engineers, technicians, and administrative staff in the delivery of comprehensive designs.
  • Complete technical reports, calculations, and undertake design decisions.
  • Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and review design drawings.
  • Conduct technical quality reviews of deliverables.
  • Coordinate design efforts, manage project schedules, track budgets and key financial performance metrics.
  • Conduct periodic site visits and manage in construction administration activities.
  • Manage commissioning activities related to water and wastewater treatment process startup.
  • Provide guidance to junior technical staff.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills as well as effective report writing.

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree +6 years of of consulting experience specifically in design and construction of water and wastewater projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Registered as a P.Eng. in the province of ON.
  • Previous experience overseeing and coordinating all technical aspects of small to midsize projects.
  • Previous experience with Class Environmental Assessments for water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Good working knowledge of industry standard and local municipal standards and guidelines are considered an asset.
  • Proficient in common desktop packages, i.e. Word, Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint
  • Previous client facing project experience is considered an asset.
