Kenvue is currently recruiting for a 2nd Shift /Production Line Support Maintenance Supervisor. This position reports into Maintenance Manager and is based at the Guelph, Ontario Manufacturing facility. This position resides on the afternoon shift (Monday - Friday 1:00PM - 9:00PM).

What will you do:
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures safety of maintenance personnel in all aspects of their work by embracing J&J Safety culture and completing tasks in accordance with regulatory and J&J safety requirements, following environmental regulations.
- Ownership of safety program audits (Lockout/Tag out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, mobile equipment, lifting devices, etc.)
- Ensure equipment in area is safe and working reliably; maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions and practices.
- Supports investigations and audits, prepares written responses, updates to SOPs, and refresher training for maintenance organization.
- Build work schedules for all employees on assigned shift and conducts daily shift startup meetings discussing safety issues and the expected workload as per 24/7 operation.
- Determine work priorities for weekly and daily maintenance schedule.
- Coordinate maintenance activities affecting production or quality. Make effective use of planned downtime and equipment availability for maintenance.
- Communicate frequently and clearly on equipment status and resource availability, calling out all employee or production issues as they arise.
- Responsible for equipment maintenance and uptime throughout the plant and must be selfmotivated to make decisions and undertake necessary repairs in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with operations supervisors to prioritize repairs and assign resources as appropriate.
- Must be "hands on" and possess solid understanding to support troubleshooting of all or some of: Mechanical/ electrical related equipment issues including but not limited to electrical controls and components, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general equipment maintenance and repair.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate electronic backlog of all Work Requests and Work Orders, in cooperation with maintenance planner.
- Coordinate and manage external contractors for all work related to unscheduled maintenance.
- Evaluate and ensure that all staff receive adequate levels of training to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities as required to support business needs.
- Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training maintenance team as well as conducting annual performance reviews, providing regular feedback, and addressing performance issues as necessary.
- Mentor personnel as necessary to impart technical and practical knowledge related to equipment installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Partner with Reliability Engineer to drive continuous improvement in reliability performance.
Qualifications:
Education:
Provincially Licensed in at least one of the following trades:
- Industrial Electrician
- Electrical Engineering Technologist
- Industrial Mechanic Millwright
- Instrumentation and Control Technician/ Control Electronic Technologist
- Tool and Die Machinist
or:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineer from an accredited University with significant demonstrated hands-on / practical knowledge in manufacturing equipment and maintenance methodologies:
What we are looking for
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Overall 6+ years' experience in Maintenance. Previous manufacturing production and supervisor experience or 3 years' experience performing the role of Lead hand or similar role with direct reports
- A minimum of three (3) years journeylevel experience as a maintenance technician maintaining and repairing industrial machinery
- Ability to read, follow and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals and manufacturers' specifications
- Proficient use of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and other computer systems and hardware
