About This Opportunity:


This opportunity is for a 14-month contract replacement.

Responsibilities:


  • Use E2Open (TMS) and SAP for trip completion and other transportation related duties.
  • Communication with relevant plants and DCs for capacity and dock schedule.
  • Oversee the performance of our carrier partners in their respective region and carrier scorecard performance
  • Primary interface for cross functional communication and problem solving required with Supply Planning, Distribution centre staff and production plant staff
  • Develop and communicate to relevant parties on any new procedures/policies implemented for our carriers and warehouses
  • Analyze trends affecting order execution, determine root cause & implement any corrective actions required
  • Interact proactively internal with customers to ensure they receive on time, error free delivery performance.
  • Manage special requests, rush orders and high volume of orders with efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Work with supply planning to ensure orders are managed and adjusted to facilitate optimizing trailer loading and routing

Qualifications:


  • Strong skills in the areas of negotiating, communication, and presentation
  • Strong skills in the areas of analytical thinking, process & project management
  • Minimum 35 years related work experience, preferably in a consumerpackaged goods industry
  • Knowledge of elements that make up the supply chain and the interrelationship between these elements.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation industry and provider options and capabilities
  • College or Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Up to 5% travel. Required to meet with internal clients and carriers at their locations across Canada
