MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • PMP Designation or a minimum of five years' experience in a Senior Project Management role within the construction / architectural industry / sheet metal fabrication or related industry.
  • Experience with Office suite and typical Project Management software.
  • Excellent organization, problem solving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Proven negotiating skills combined with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
  • Must be selfmotivated and able to carry projects through from concept to completion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Comfortable communicating directly with customers.
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision. Must be a selfstarter.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel internationally (primarily the United States) if required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Act as the primary contact both externally and internally during project execution phase
  • Provide technical support, including the creation of project specific drawings and details, to project stakeholders.
  • Provide Estimating support related to Extras and Change-Orders during project duration.
  • Work with the Program Manager to develop and manage a detailed project scope, budget, schedule and work plan.
  • Take a proactive role in planning, initiating, and monitoring material procurement and resources allocation, necessary to achieve project objectives.
  • Attend Production Meetings, contribute input and solutions to ensure work progresses according to the project plan.
  • Coordinate assembly and packaging of fabricated and sourced products.
  • Manage assigned resources (people, technology, process, products, space, time) in an effective and efficient manner, by utilizing company's systems and industry's best practices.
  • Monitor project progress and make schedule or resource allocation adjustments as needed to keep execution on track.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about requirements, adjustments, and progress.
  • Track project costs in correlation to budget.
  • Measure, document and analyze project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Assist Production with outgoing inspection of products and packaging.
Regular working hours are consistent with our plant schedule am to 4.30 pm
  • Monday to Friday
including a Lunch break of 30 min. As a salaried person, flexibility is expected up to 44 hours / week, when justified by variable workload.

Reporting directly to the Divisional Manager

The PM will be required to occasionally visit customers, vendors, and project job sites.
