    What role with you play?

    As our Enterprise Privacy Technology Product Owner within the Enterprise Privacy Office, you will work closely with privacy subject matter experts, technology teams, and other stakeholders to help ensure our newly acquired privacy management platform is accurately configured and maintained to meet Manulife's needs, as well as helping to ensure the long-term adoption of the tools and non-functional integration with other internal systems and processes. This is a fast-paced, changing environment where every day brings something new, and innovative ideas are encouraged.

    You possess an excellent balance of analytical, technical, communication, and influencing skills and are comfortable challenging others with the goal of continuous improvement.

    As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the privacy management platform subject matter expert on behalf of Enterprise Privacy Compliance.
  • Defining, planning, and delivering business requirements related to our privacy management platform.
  • Working with collaborators to integrate privacy requirements with other oversight systems and processes to help ensure a single view of privacy risk across the enterprise.
  • Clearly identifying acceptance criteria, assumptions, risks, and dependencies along with leading the acceptance testing in conjunction with subject matter experts and technology teams.
  • Facilitating discussions with collaborators regarding features in development, acquiring feedback, making decisions, and adjusting plans accordingly to close the feedback loop with collaborators.
  • Developing and maintaining appropriate tracking and reporting of features to evaluate successes and opportunities for future improvements.
  • Identifying and operationalizing opportunities to use technology and data to improve privacy program outcomes and increase efficiency.

  • Limited supervision needed.
  • Competencies for the role:

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • A technology background will be an asset.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills including the ability to clearly articulate business needs to technical resources.
  • Ability to influence and resolve conflict without having direct authority; confidence to raise issues as required.
  • Ability to champion positive relationships and effectively lead various-sized groups to attain collaborative and innovative solutions.
  • Proactively identify potential problems to prevent unfavorable outcomes.
  • Adaptable and outstanding skills for change; prioritize conflicting workloads
