Junior Project Manager/ Office Coordinator Job Description
Veert Landscaping Inc is a leading commercial and residential landscaping contractor with a concrete and asphalt division.

The Junior Project Manager/Office Coordinator is responsible for working with the Estimators and the Project Manager for the daily coordination of materials and resources required to complete projects according to the drawings and specifications to ensure all Projects run effective and efficiently as possible, minimizing downtime losses.

As the Junior Project Manager/Office Coordinator you will be required to liaise between the owners, suppliers, general contractors, landscape architects and other stakeholders within the projects.


  • Need to be flexible with work schedule including evenings/weekends if needed
  • Must have own transportation
The responsibilities of the Junior Project Manager/Office Coordinator include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities/Activities
Review and prepare overview of project specifications.

  • Maintain documentations and records for all projects including construction requests of purchase orders, change orders, contract construction documents and the proposals.
  • Coordinate and track the delivery of materials to job sites ensure quantities and contract specifications are met.
  • Assist Project manager in scheduling crews list of activities and prioritize according to multiple factors such as: weather, material supply, site progress and equipment availability
  • Site Assessments and planting layouts prior and during soft landscaping portion of project
  • Keeping inventory of construction materials at the yard to ensure crews have material available to take to site
  • Ensure the cost effectiveness of every contract.
  • Assist in preparing weekly progress reports,
  • Monitoring any development and changes in the industry,
  • Knowledge of growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental use and other purposes
  • Assist Estimators and Project Manager as needed.
  • Final inspections to address any deficiencies

Qualifications

  • 35 years experience in the landscaping field
  • Blue Print reading
  • Able to multitask, meet deadlines and follow through on projects to completion
  • Proficient in design and graphic communication skills
  • Competent in the technical skills of landscape design
  • Complex problem solving
  • Critical thinking and Analytical skills
  • Decision making consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
  • Management of financial and material resources
  • Time management
  • Negotiation/persuasion skills
  • Manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines
  • Creative, attention to detail,
  • Ability to work independently, flexible
  • Proactive, demonstrates initiative
  • Accountability and goal orientated

Education Requirements

  • Completion of postsecondary study in areas of expertise such as in Landscape Design Diploma or Landscape Architecture Degree is an asset but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Site Docs

Compensation Package
Veert Landscaping offers competitive compensation packages dependent on qualifications and experience.


Job Types:
Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
$22.00-$25.00 per hour


Schedule:
