Reporting to the Senior Director - Business Banking, Business Solutions the
Sales Associate displays an in-depth knowledge of payments, liquidity and trade finance.

Working closely with the Business Solutions Sales Team, this role has accountability and responsibility for the structure, quality, and account maintenance of the portfolio to ensure the appropriate balance of profitability and risk management.


This Associate will be the primary contact for the Business Solutions sales team to conduct annual reviews and respond to and meet ongoing client needs and ensure flawless execution of Business Banking sales solutions.

You will establish and nurture connections with valued partners, stakeholders, and advisors in retaining core banking relationships that incorporate payment & cash management solutions, merchant services, cards, liquidity products, and the cross selling of Trade Finance and ATB's Online FX platform.


As a trusted advisor, this role assists the sales team in the development and growth of a portfolio of cash management intensive companies by partnering with CFO's, CEO's and Treasurers to understand their business requirements and presenting payments and cash management & investment solutions to meet their needs.


Some key delivery areas include:

  • Works collaboratively with internal team members and external partners to ensure client needs are being met. Provides leadership and direction to operational stakeholders & partners to help achieve the desired client obsessed outcome.
  • Coordinate and manage the technical setup and testing for new and existing business solutions clients requiring integration of ATB Online Business and payments & cash management services to ensure service and product quality meet customers' needs, service level agreements, and ATB's expectations to maximize the institution's return while safeguarding our interests.
  • Create and manage the flow of legal and regulatory documentation required for implementation, and the flow of information in the Negotiated Pricing process to make sure customer service is not impacted.
  • Prepare and present pricing analytics and recommendations to the sales team.

Requirements:


What You bring to the Team:

  • 3+ years of Financial Institution experience within business banking
  • Undergraduate degree in business commerce or finance or related discipline
  • Awareness and a working knowledge of Cash Management, Payments Canada Rules and Investment vehicles
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with executive leaders (Controllers & Business Owners etc.) and ability to present effectively
  • Proven ability to partner with clients to develop understanding of complex business issues and develop innovative solutions
  • Strong connector of people and ideas able to build relationships naturally, align interests of broad stakeholders and provide effective oversight to deliver flawless execution of complex financial solutions
  • Ability to present complex issues effectively at all levels in the organization and effectively influence others.
  • Exhibit a professional, positive attitude, teamwork oriented workplace behaviour, as well as being a selfmotivated, independent employee
  • Demonstrate superior organizational and time management skill

  • The work location will primarily be homebased (working from an office is optional) with periodic requirements to attend an office setting.
