Job description
This mid to senior level Property Manager role is responsible for working with management in the effective management of operations, administration, Owner / tenant relations, marketing and finances for property management services within their portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all property and lease files (correspondence, records) are properly maintained and in accordance with company policy
Adapt reporting, policy and/or procedures to meet client specific requests / timelines
Provide monthly operational reports
Provide monthly financial review and reporting to owners
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
Address and resolve sensitive tenant and vendor issues
Tender and award service contracts for repairs and maintenance
Ensure compliance with insurance requirements, building codes, life safety codes and other applicable laws, regulations and policies
Conduct regular inspections of the property and tenant premises to ensure compliance with leases and the proper upkeep of the property
If applicable, organize and coordinate site caretakers, maintenance personnel, leasing and administrative staff
Perform other related duties / special projects as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial property management experience
Must provide a clean criminal record check
Yardi experience would be an asset
Valid driver's license and vehicle for transportation to and from properties
Possess strong financial and business acumen
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent skills in management and motivation of people
Capable of effective time management, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Basic understanding property management principles, laws, procedures and standards.
