What can I expect to do in this role?:
- provide information and clarification on legislation, policies and programs to schools, school boards, and other stakeholders
- monitor and report on the effectiveness of the school system
- ensure compliance with ministry policies and programs
- help provide a strong and vibrant education system
How do I qualify?:
Mandatory:
- This position requires that applicants be members in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
- You must possess oral and written French language skills at the superior level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire
Education Sector Knowledge:
Leadership and Analytical skills:
- You have leadership, facilitation and organizational skills to provide a liaison role and to demonstrate authority and credibility when dealing with boards and interest groups.
- You have analytical skills to interpret ministry policies and guidelines, and assess compliance with ministry legislation and requirements.
- You have research skills to prepare advisory reports and briefings, and make evidencebased recommendations.
Communication Skills:
- You have written communication skills to prepare detailed reports, briefing notes and ministerial correspondence.
- You have oral communication and interpersonal skills to advise and consult with school boards, educational facilities, community representatives and other stakeholders and to make committee presentations.
