This role is part of our Personalised Creative team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients including eBay, Ancestry, Walmart, and more


JOB PURPOSE:


You will write, edit, and optimise compelling, relevant copy for Opendoor, the digital real estate company changing the way we buy and sell homes.

You will work across various digital channels (ex. landing pages, display ads, CRM, etc), developing concepts and providing creative copy that engages various audiences.

Partnering closely with copy editors, designers, Opendoor stakeholders, and account managers, you will create compelling content that engages the customer at every part of their journey.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Create clear, effective, and original copy and content for Opendoor's digital marketing
  • Identify gaps in content strategy and generate creative solutions
  • Work with Opendoor's stakeholders to build our customer journey for various audiences and thematic categories
  • Fix any content issues that might arise with new platform or templates
  • Develop creative ideas and concepts across various channels
  • Adhere to clients' tone of voice and brand guidelines; help evolve copy guides for Opendoor's digital landscape
  • Research competitors and trends for creative inspiration
  • Collaborate with design and account management
  • Contribute to team creative brainstorms
  • Participate in and contribute to monthly global Copy Team meetings

SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:


  • Exceptional language and grammar skills
  • 13 years of experience as a copywriter is a must
  • Experience with marketing and project management a plus
  • Background in agency or brand is preferred
  • Experience in real estate or other related field is a plus
  • Indepth knowledge of multichannel digital copy and brand development
  • Ability to write compelling marketing and content copy that informs and engages
  • Confidence working with other departments and stakeholders and clients
  • Readiness to work at a fast pace on large marketing campaigns with many assets
  • An understanding of the importance of consistency across different touchpoints of a user journey
  • Ability to present work to large groups and communicate ideas clearly and enthusiastically
  • A collaborative approach to getting things done
