    The Supervisor Outbound Transportation oversees the coordination and management of transportation operations within the company. Play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective transportation of goods while maintaining safety, compliance and cost control.

    What you will accomplish with us:


    •Lead, mentor, and develop a team of outbound transportation agents and drivers

    •Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

    •Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they meet performance targets.

    •Develop and implement effective outbound transportation plans to ensure timely delivery of products.

    •Optimize routes to minimize transportation costs while maximizing efficiency.

    •Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand shipping requirements and constraints.

    •Establish and maintain relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers.

    •Monitor carrier performance and address any issues promptly.

    •Ensure compliance with local, national, and international transportation regulations.

    •Stay informed about changes in transportation laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to processes.

    •Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

    •Identify opportunities to implement new technologies to enhance outbound transportation processes.

    •Proactively identify and address issues that may impact outbound transportation performance.

    •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve transportation-related challenges.

    •Generate regular reports on outbound transportation performance and provide insights to leadership.

    •Conduct analysis to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.

    •Maintain and update records of the fleet, including vehicle information, maintenance schedules, and licensing.

    What You Bring to Our Team:


    •Familiarity with local, national, and international transportation regulations to ensure compliance and adherence to legal requirements.

    •Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles to optimize transportation processes and streamline the movement of goods.

    •Awareness of geographical locations and routes to plan and optimize transportation routes effectively.

    •Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and the ability to coordinate maintenance schedules to keep the fleet in good condition.

    •Strong leadership skills to effectively lead and motivate a transportation team.

    •Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, and transportation authorities.

    •Ability to quickly analyze and solve problems related to transportation issues, such as delays, breakdowns, or route changes.

    •A customer-centric approach to ensure that transportation services meet or exceed customer expectations.

    •Analytical abilities to assess data related to transportation operations and identify areas for improvement.

    •Flexibility and adaptability to handle unexpected changes or challenges in the transportation process.

    •Familiarity with transportation management software, GPS systems, and other technology tools used in the transportation industry.
    Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial management to ensure transportation operations are cost-effective.

    •Certified in Transportation and Logistics (CTL), or other relevant certifications.

    •A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, an asset

    •Minimum 3 years' experience in the transportation industry and team management

    •Experience in the distribution environment.

    • Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with Master employees and suppliers based in our offices in Ontario, Western Canada and Maritimes, and interactions in French with suppliers and employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa).
