Reporting to the Supervisor, Employee Services & Programs, we are seeking a Clerk V to join our Human Resources department in Edmonton or Calgary for a term assignment of 18 months.

The Clerk V is part of the team responsible for providing a One ATCO employee experience in relation to inquiries on Human Resources programs, practices, pension, benefits, pay, timecards, etc.

The incumbent will be a first point of contact for all employee and management inquiries. This position works under occasional supervision and is conducted within general guidelines, instructions, and precedents.


What Else You Get To Do:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR inquires relating to employment, HR programs, practices, pension, benefits, pay, timecards, etc
  • Respond and resolve all employee inquiries and requests and escalate where required
  • Provide employment packages (new hire, termination, retirement, employment leaves etc)
  • Develop strong understanding and familiarity on all HR programs, policies and standards, processes, areas of the business and advise HR and the business and administer as required
  • Collaborate across HR and other teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities and ensure business needs and impacts are understood
  • Develop and implement specialized administrative processes and conduct continuous improvement activities
  • Participate in crossfunctional activities and/or processes (ie., work with groups to identify workflow or procedural issues to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively to provide quality customer service)

Who You Are:


  • High School Diploma plus certificate in a related field, such as Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5 years' related experience working in Human Resources
  • Exceptional interpersonal, customer service and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated success managing a large volume of work while delivering a quality product with a focus on the customer experience.
This position is administered under CU Inc and Canadian Energy Workers Association Collective Agreement, Job Posting provisions.
