About the Role

As a Human Resources Business Partner at Mount Royal University, you will provide strategic HR support to diverse university faculties and units, overseeing end-to-end delivery of all HR programs, policies, systems, and services. This role requires advanced HR subject matter expertise, effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. You will work closely with senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership (35%): Develop and implement HR goals and plans that align with faculty/departmental business strategies.
Relationship Management (20%): Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders, faculty members, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns.
Customer Service (15%): Provide high-level HR advice and coaching to senior leaders and managers, while also handling escalated and complex HR issues.
Management (5%): Provide informal leadership, mentoring, and coaching to the HR Advisor, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
Innovation (5%): Measure and improve the provision of HR services, processes, policies, and programs to enhance productivity, efficiency, and customer service.
Change Agent (15%): Lead and manage change initiatives in support of faculty/departmental and institutional business strategies.
Compliance (5%): Provide HR advice and services that comply with relevant legislation, governing documents, collective agreements, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

University degree in a related field plus a minimum of 5 years related experience in a complex human resources generalist capacity.
Experience in a post-secondary environment is preferred.
Strong HR Generalist background required, with extensive experience in Employee and Labour Relations, Talent Management, and Organizational Development.

Salary Range: $96,850-122,474
