Position Purpose:
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Build a health and safety culture within the Meter Data Management team, following all Alectra Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance and revising departmental procedures as required and communicating changes to employees
- Planning, assigning and supervising daily activities of the operational unit
- Coaching employees and managing performance to build a highfunctioning and engaged team Establish streamlined processes, assessing opportunities for continuous improvements, automation, and harmonization
- Identify, develop, implement, and provide reporting on an established cadence to provide transparency of Metering work programs, outputs, and service levels
- Provide input to departmental budgeting, resourcing plans, and business plans
- Develop fair work distribution methods, ensuring accurate, timely, and highquality outputs
- Lead and/or participate in department and corporate projects and key initiatives
- Manage escalated external and internal customer inquiries, and coordinate with internal and external customers to resolve issues
- Works in collaboration with Metering management and Corporate Finance to support the development and administration of budget and forecasting processes as per required timelines.
- Works with corporate Procurement to complete procurement process related to metering products and services.
- Supports team in providing data for metering SLAs and KPIs
- Supports SLA compliance, corrective action plans, modify existing SLAs, and create new SLAs as required.
- Planning and ensuring meter reading activities are delivered on time, with a high degree of accuracy
- Researching software errors and correcting issues
- Coordination of metering dataflows, ensuring validated, estimated and edited data is available for accurate and timely billing and settlements. Coordination of new dataflows as required.
- Provide input in new meter configuration workshops to ensure meter outputs meet the need of Alectra systems
- Provide expertise as Alectra develops next generation metering solutions
- Leads or supports team members leading meter system software upgrades
- Responsible for meter data discrepancy resolution including system reporting, response to deficiencies notifications and testing of upgrades
- Performing other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
Education & Specialized Knowledge:
- Postsecondary education with a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business preferred
- Knowledge of OHSA, other related safety regulations, and labour regulations
- Knowledge of regulatory and government requirements: Measurement Canada Act and Regulations, and OEB regulations, PIPEDA, Affiliate Relations Code
- Knowledge of metering concepts and supporting technologies, and industry practices an asset
- Knowledge of Financial tracking, budgeting, and reporting is an asset
- Knowledge of procurement management processes and reporting is an asset
- Skilled in gathering detailed business requirements
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Experience in project management and Advanced Metering Infrastructure systems is an assets
