WeAre WSP
What you can expect to do here:
- Supporting GIS and Biophysical teams in spatial analysis, model development and data management.
- Working in various fields including archaeology, biological environmental sciences, contaminated sites, geotechnical engineering and mining.
- Work with a large team of other experts to provide practical solutions to some of the most complex problems facing industry and governments.
- High quality production mapping for projects in all of WSP's operating units.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a professional GIS environment.
- A Degree or Advanced Diploma in Geography, GIS, Biology, Social Sciences, or a combination of demonstrated GIS, statistical analysis, experience, or quantitative ecology and postsecondary education
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills teamed with the ability communicate highly complex information in a clear, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing manner
- Demonstrated experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team in a fastpaced deadline and deliverable oriented setting
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Excel
- The following proficiencies and experience would be considered assets:
- Working experience executing at a professional level in an environmental or engineering consulting organization
- Working experience in one or more of the discipline fields of archaeology, geotechnical engineering, mining, and biological and environmental sciences
- Functional experience3 with: ESRI Inc. ArcGIS Online and Collector, EarthSoft Inc. EQuIS, Safe Software FME and Autodesk Civil 3D
- Working experience developing and implementing GIS solutions especially in the areas of productivity, QA/QC, mobile data capture, geospatial analysis, spatial ETL and workflow automation
