Live-in Caregiver - Hillsburgh, Canada - Gary Langen

Description

A caregiver/caregivers for a 38 year old male with special needs to live in, on a beautiful farm setting close to Erin/Hillsburgh area in Ontario.

Applicants must be compassionate and willing to make a long-term commitment. It could also be a family. A farming interest would be an asset.


Responsibilities:

• Provide inhome care to patients in need
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
• Monitor and report any changes in the patient's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals

Experience:

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
• Knowledge of assisted living and hospice care practices is a plus
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols is beneficial
• Understanding of patient care techniques and best practices
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Patience and empathy when working with elderly or disabled individuals
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
