Key Objectives for an Employee Engagement Manager:
The role is responsible for supporting the strategic priorities of the Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) business.

The function focuses on driving employee engagement and the identification, development and execution of strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the WPB business and increase employee satisfaction in order to meet WPB business objectives.


This role is responsible for supporting the strategic planning, communication and management of employee and community engagement initiatives, consulting the business units in the development of program content ensuring the corporate strategies and business objectives are met.


Principle Accountabilities:

  • Assist to develop and deliver effective and measurable multichannel employee campaigns that support business objectives and can be used consistently nationally
  • Conduct analysis of campaign effectiveness for reporting back to the business
  • Accountable for having a positive impact on employee snapshot scores
  • Assist the Senior Manager with strategies to strengthen the WPB business and increase employee satisfaction in order to meet agreed WPB business objectives
  • Deliver clear communication items for internal audiences for awareness of major campaign activity
  • Support achievement of the HSBC vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour, actions and decision making
  • Communicate and adhere to HSBC policy and procedures in order to ensure good operational, financial and project management, policy and procedural compliance and early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise
  • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirements

  • Three years of experience in event support, communications or employee engagement
  • Knowledge and understanding of WPB products and services is an asset
  • Ability to adapt to quickly changing situations and conditions. Frequent, diverse, multiple conflicting deadlines and unanticipated requirements from across the enterprise
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong data manipulation skills
  • Advanced Excel is considered an asset
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail with advanced time management and organizational skills
  • Bilingual in English and French an asset
  • Familiarity with video editing software an asset
