We are currently seeking:

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Investigate health and safety related complaints, spills of hazardous chemicals, outbreaks of diseases or poisonings, and workplace hazards.
  • Inspect workplaces to ensure equipment, materials and production processes do not present a safety hazard to employees or the general public.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate health and safety programs and strategies.
  • Keep records of all incidents and maintain detailed and accurate documentation.
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed on site.
  • Review and approve safety equipment purchases.
  • Provide site orientations to new workers/ visitors.
  • Conduct Toolbox and site safety meetings for site staff.
  • Take appropriate action to correct unsafe acts or conditions.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience as a CSO, preferably in multiresidential.
  • Valid Construction Safety Officer certificate.
  • Valid OFA 2/3 ticket.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Must be able to commit to full time employment.
  • Organized and responsible.
  • Be able to commute to and from work.
  • Strong knowledge OHS regulations.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Must own PPE.
