Job Summary:
The City of Nanaimo is looking to add a new permanent full-time Human Resources Advisor position to our current HR Team.
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, and working collaboratively in a team of three HR Advisors, the Human Resources Advisor provides services in a variety of programs and activities related to human resources.
The primary focus of this position is to provide human resources support in a variety of areas including recruitment, labour and employee relations, job evaluation, disability management, HR information systems, and HR projects.
The incumbent is expected to ensure that practices are consistent and comply with legislation, collective agreements, and administrative policies and procedures.

Requirements:
Applicants must have Diploma in Business Administration or other relevant discipline and 5 years' related experience in Human Resources including experience with HRIS systems.
A degree with a major in Human Resource Management and/or CPHR certification is an asset.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a salaried position, based on a 35 hour work week, and relocation assistance may be provided to the successful applicant.
