The Role:_
Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, the Lead Hand is responsible for providing leadership to the Warehouse Team, overseeing the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and yard, and executing strategies to improve efficiencies in the warehouse.
The Responsibilities:_
- Responsible for ensuring the Warehouse Team completes tasks in a safe and timely manner
- Responsible for tracking the warehouse material, tool, and inventory needs
- Processes and maintains accurate records related to warranties and product returns
- Communicates daily duties to the Warehouse Team and assists the Warehouse Team with their duties
- Implements and administers a regular maintenance and clean up schedule to maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and yard
- Responsible for regular inspections and checklists related to equipment
- Checks accuracy of orders and invoicing of daily deliveries and arranges shipments with couriers
- Supports the Warehouse Team by performing cycle counts and down stocking activities to ensure inventory accuracy and maintains inventory levels for efficient order picking
The Skills and Qualifications:_
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar warehouse role
- Must have a valid G Driver's License
- Must have a valid forklift license and ability to operate indoor & outdoor forklifts efficiently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and other computer technologies
- Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team
- Good interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills
