The Role

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out survey duties including (but not limited to):
  • Install directional laser stations (McGarf) for mine development;
  • Measure, record and report development advance and over/underbreak;
  • Provide updated asbuilt, development layouts and planning drawings to required parties;
  • Conduct and issue Cavity surveys in a timely manner;
  • Complete markups of longhole stopes, development turnouts, cables bolt drilling, diamond drilling and utility holes as required;
  • Carry out ventilation surveys and other underground QA/QC tasks.
  • Perform other planning/project tasks as required by the site leadership team.

Essential Criteria:


  • Survey Engineering Technician, Mining Engineering Technician or Mining Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in an underground mining environment
  • Previous experience with Leica survey instruments and software
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Deswik
  • Valid Canadian Drivers License
  • Be proactive and able to work autonomously
  • National Police Clearance
  • Willingness to work in a crosscultural team

Salary:
$80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
