You as Tax Manager
will:


  • Be responsible for the preparation and timely filing of all corporate income tax returns and related filings for Canada, in a highly complex corporate structure.
  • Prepare the annual consolidated tax provision (ASPE).
  • Oversee indirect tax compliance and reporting.
  • Liaise with joint venture partners, limited partners, and other stakeholders on all tax related matters.
  • Assist with SR&ED tax filings.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits.
  • Manage tax remittances.
  • Perform tax research for new and proposed transactions.
  • Be responsible for the tax planning and related execution of corporate reorganizations.
  • Participate in special projects, which may involve activities such as international tax research and compliance, due diligence work, publicprivate partnership transactions, etc.
  • Keep current on all tax legislation and administrative changes and effectively communicate any impact to the organization.

Is this the right role for you?

  • You hold a CPA designation.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience with Canadian corporate compliance and tax planning.
  • You have completed or are in the process of completing the CICA/CICPA indepth tax course.
  • You have experience managing tax compliance and reporting processes.
  • You have a strong accounting background, with experience in ASPE.
  • You have experience managing relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
  • You possess strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Taxprep.
  • You are a wellorganized, proactive and detailoriented individual able to selfmanage and work in a dynamic fastpaced environment.
  • You are a highly technical individual that has strong attention to detail.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
