Duties:


  • Managing service and support of cable transport equipment with customers.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing ski lift equipment and hydraulic equipment.
  • Performing and documenting preventative maintenance on ski lift equipment and gondolas to ensure machinery runs properly, while keeping the highest regard for safety.
  • Working directly with customers to complete timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Performing field and remote service support for mechanical breakdowns and equipment issues.
  • Installing equipment modifications and upgrades.
  • Performing emergency callout service for mechanical breakdowns.
  • Rebuilding gearboxes.
  • Rigging wire ropes.
  • Traveling domestically and internationally as required.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma required
  • Valid drivers license is required
  • 35 year of experience in heavy mechanical repair
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and prints
  • Ability to work in inclement weather in mountainous environment at heights in excess of 20 feet
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to travel
  • Experience in heavy mechanical repair of ski lifts and/or related equipment
  • Organizational skills communication with customers and engineers
  • Awareness and ability to perform safe rigging practices
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Non Destructive Testing (NDT) experience
  • Basic Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, experienced with PDF files an prints

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous ski lift maintenance experience
  • 1 year previous NDT experience (MT/PT)
  • 3 years' experience maintaining ropeway equipment
  • 3 years' experience in field service environment
  • Solid knowledge of rigging as well as rigging principles
  • Prior service work and customer relations experience
  • Basic understanding of electrical lift controls and Ski lift electrical schematics

From $45.00 per hour
