Assistant Scheduling Central Business Support Unit (CBSU)

Health Services, Long Term Care

Status: 4 Long Term Contract Part Time Positions

Duration:
up to 13 months


Compensation:
$23.99 to $29.98/hr plus 6% in lieu of benefits/vacation

Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton, ON
Reporting to a Supervisor CBSU you will provide scheduling support to the CBSU Coordinators


What you will do in this role:

  • You will assist the Coordinators in ensuring all shifts are covered and call-ins completed for our five Regional Long Term Care homes
  • Make calls to staff to fill vacated shifts ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements and business rules
  • Document all actions and outcomes and communicate effectively to CBSU Coordinators and Supervisors any unusual occurrences or actions that require further attention
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur
  • Update schedules reflecting changes as they occur
  • Maintain good relationships with staff and management
  • May occasionally be required to respond to emergency situations outside of scheduled working hours
  • May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and EIM systems
  • Organized, able to prioritize work and make decisions in a fast paced work environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Positive customer service focus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member

Work Mode & Job Location:

In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton location.

The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
