Main Job duties:
- Supervise and oversee the manufacturing of plant processes and provides direction to plant employees.
- Receives and grades milk ensuring quality assurance compliance.
- Operates and troubleshoots HTST pasteurizer as per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assists and schedules cheese production from processing to packaging and including shelf-life management.
- Records and maintains accurate production reports and provides information to the Production Manager and General Manager as required.
- Monitors variations in time cycles and ingredients used for optimal cheese batches.
- Work with Production Manager to develop production cheese plans to insure and maintaininventory to fulfil customer requirements.
- Assists with swabbing procedures to maintain optimal food quality and workplace environmental conditions.
- Supervises and coaches manufacturing staff on all aspects of sanitation, cleaning, cheesemaking and packaging.
- Provides training to Production Staff as required.
- Manages inventory levels for raw materials and finished products.
- Supervises the sanitation of cheese molds, equipment, and packaging materials.
- Leads and makes recommendations to meet and/or exceed company's goals in productivity, raw material usage, food safety as well as improving productivity and product quality.
Skills requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as Cheese Processing Supervisor.
Completion of secondary school.
Strong knowledge and experience of minimum 5 years in Latin American cheese varieties.
Knowledge of Latin American food trends with particular emphasis on cheese.
Process and production knowledge, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
Certificate of Food Science.
Food Handler Certificate.
Ability to work in fast paced environment.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high standard of work.
Knowledge and demonstrated practical experience in G.M.Ps (Good Manufacturing Practices).
