A day in the life of a Manager, Digital Strategy

  • As a Manager, you'll spend most of your time managing client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients, high net worth families, and private equity to deliver advisory services
  • Drive continued growth and profitability by identifying and scoping opportunities in existing and potential clients for the team, practice, and other areas of the firm
  • Build longterm, trusted advisory relationships with owners and decisionmakers based on our core values, industry knowledge, and experience
  • Understand clients' digital process and technology needs well beyond current engagements, increasing operational effectiveness, increasing value, and enabling succession plans
  • Refine and develop methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to align and accelerate delivery while maintaining high quality standards and innovation
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, leading practices, and the solution landscape in digital enablement and transformation, emerging technologies, business model evolution, data strategy, sourcing and vendor management, operating model design, enterprise architecture, cloud, mobility, and cybersecurity
  • Conduct interviews/workshops to understand client needs, challenges, and priorities, identifying and evaluating options, developing pragmatic recommendations with supporting rationale
  • Develop thought leadership pieces and represent the firm at conferences/networking events
  • Manage project budgets and coach junior team members, providing guidance, leadership, and personal development
  • Promote inclusion, teamwork, collaboration, curiosity, innovation, and pragmatism
  • Recruit top talent to grow the team as well as other areas of the firm

About you

  • 510 years relevant experience in a consulting/professional service setting
  • 35 years management experience
  • Undergrad in business, engineering, or technology
  • MBA degree, PMP, other related credentials an asset (i.e. business/technical)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Understanding of how business operates, the associated challenges, and the technology solution landscape
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrable abilities to lead, coach, mentor team members
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written), others are an asset
  • Team spirit, with a focus on informationsharing, quality, and innovation
  • Ability to quickly develop good interpersonal relationships as well as persuasiveness and diplomacy
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Ability to work independently as well as within cross functional teams
  • Some overnight travel involved
