What you'll do- Provide the monthly and quarterly financial reporting for BC Hydro's Cost of Energy, including regulatory account reporting

and monthly forecasting.- Lead a team of two financial analysts responsible for the monthly reporting and forecasting for the Heritage, Non-Heritage,


and Market Energy components of Cost of Energy, including managing their performance and development.- Prepare and present reports for management.


  • Work with external auditors and provide support, analysis, etc. for the quarterly external audit.
guidance on various accounting issues and regulatory matters.- Coordinate and develop the Cost of Energy budget for the Annual Service Plan, provide information and support for


regulatory hearings, including Revenue Requirements Applications and related Information Requests.- Respond to queries from senior management and external stakeholders (government and regulatory bodies).


  • Develop working relationships with various internal business groups to ensure a high degree of coordination and
alignment in preparing the Cost of Energy forecasts.


What you bring- Professional Accounting designation (CPA).

  • A minimum of 9 years experience in progressively more financial management capacity with specific experience in
reporting and forecast.- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent planning skills with proven experience in meeting deadlines while managing multiple priorities and competing


demands.- In-depth knowledge of accounting practices and principles and effective internal control concepts and their effective- Strong knowledge and understanding of the operations and business decision processes of a large, complex organization.


  • Experience in giving presentations to management and in leading team meetings.
  • Experience implementing change and business improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to think and act with a strong business sense.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of SAP is an asset.

  • This is a M&P Grade 44 fulltime temporary (FTT) position based at our Dunsmuir office, in Vancouver. This role will be
