The Ministry of Forests delivers holistic resource management services for British Columbians.

Within the Ministry, the Integrated Resource Operations Division (IROD) has a dynamic role, in that the Branches within the Division regularly connect with every part of the broader natural resource sector, which includes a healthy balance of economic development and environmental stewardship aspects.


IROD's Compliance and Enforcement Branch (CEB) delivers a full range of compliance and enforcement activities, including education, promotion and compliance with regulatory requirements and conducting major environmental investigations.

The CEB supports the management and delivery of compliance and enforcement activities in a manner that is timely, appropriate and consistent with the mandate of the Ministry.


The Branch Coordinator is responsible for coordinating branch office administration functions and communication and engagement for field staff across the province.

Responsibilities include time and leave management, budget and human resources administration, records and correspondence management, event coordination, meeting support, travel booking and project management support services including project monitoring and reporting.

Job Requirements:


  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience providing administrative and financial support services for a group of staff.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience with financial transactions/activities (e.g. accounts payable, purchasing, petty cash reconciliation, etc.).
Preference may be given to those with one or more of the following:

  • Experience with records management.
  • Experience with coordination and organization of meetings and events.
  • Experience providing project management support services.

About this Position:

This is a temporary opportunity until September 13, 2024; this may be extended or become permanent.
This position can be based in any Ministry of Forests' office.
