Assistant Store Manager (Metrotown)_

Assistant Store Manager will support Store Manager to oversee the store operations and ensure all company strategy and policies are efficiently delivered in the following areas:

  • Assist the Store Manager to achieve sales targets and control expenses
  • Responsible for store premise maintenance and upkeeping
  • Assist in full labour management including but not limited to full cycle recruitment and training
  • Review receiving and merchandise stock up process for backroom management
  • Ensure the presentation standards/ planogram design that fit to the Sales Floor Layout
  • Set up desired level of inventory and maintain a healthy level
  • Monitor and ensure smooth transaction and have sufficient resources to carry out operations
  • Maintain store cleanliness to create a healthy and safe environment
  • Carry out Operations Management duties.

Job Requirement

  • Possess minimum 2 years in fast pace supermarket or general merchandise retail business experience, supervising 5 or more direct reports to include responsibility of performance management, mentorship and recruitment experience
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal and written skills
  • Ensure customer service level is maintained and acts an example to set fair, consistent standard for store associates
  • With background in dealing with hard lines / variety merchandise preferred
  • Individuals with relevant work experience will be first considered.
  • Individuals with less experience will be considered as Supervisor.

Education:


  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:


  • Retail management: 2 years (preferred)
