The Ministry of Forests is responsible for the stewardship of provincial Crown land and ensures the sustainable management of forest, wildlife, water and other land-based resources.

The Ministry works with Indigenous and rural communities to strengthen and diversify their economies


To create digital, graphic and descriptive products to support resource planning through the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).


Job Requirements:


  • Diploma in geographic information systems or a Diploma in the Natural Resource field AND 1 year work experience.
  • Experience capturing, converting, creating, editing and maintaining digital information in a GIS environment.
  • Experience creating a variety of digital, geographical and descriptive products including thematic maps, terrain models and associated descriptive statistics.

About this Position:

This is a temporary opportunity until September 1, 2023.
