Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing associates on the use of equipment and resources while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Proactive in the elimination of workplace accidents and injuries.
- Maintain quality and legislative requirements by adhering to and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices GMP, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures SSOP, and Standard Operating Procedures SOP, British Retail Consortium BRC.
- Responsible and Accountable for tracking daily visual and swab audits making the appropriate individuals aware of any deficiencies with regular feedback.
- Plan, direct, engage and understand daily and nondaily sanitation operations while anticipating and troubleshooting sanitation problems.
- Complete sanitation plan by scheduling and assigning associates, establishing priorities, revising schedules, and resolving problems.
- Oversee the dismantling, cleaning, reassembly and sanitizing of equipment, utensils in this plant environment.
- Plan, conduct, and document monthly departmental Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Sanitation issues/changes.
Position Requirements:
Preferred Hiring Criteria
- Post secondary diploma and/or degree
- Two years of supervisory work experience working in a unionize facility.
- Experience with HACCP requirements, sanitation procedures, cleaning systems, chemicals, and health & safety
- British Retail Consortium BRC experience would be an asset.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Effective communication skills to lead, motivate, coach, mentor and resolve associate conflict.
- Able to manage and build a team independently.
- Well established organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
- Self starter with good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Continuous learner and willingness to embrace change.
- Required to work on all shifts and weekends
