Salary:
$97,462 - $114,661 - $131,861 per year (pay range explained below)


Contract:
Permanent


Hours: 37.5 hours (8am-4pm / 8:30am-4:30pm / 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday)

Location:100 Park Royal S, West Vancouver (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA's flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after October 2024.


About the role

The Manager, Data Secretariat position offers the exciting opportunity to innovate within First Nations Health Data systems and work in a dynamic, interactive, and creative role.

In this position, you will shift the perspective to First Nations-driven data management and provide hands-on leadership in the FNHA pathways to accessing First Nations data, as well as information sharing agreements with other organizations.

This role provides leadership in developing, implementing, analysing, reporting and conducting knowledge dissemination, and this position is accountable to the First Nations in BC and their relative health plans.

Travel is required in this role with a frequency of 3-4 times per quarter.


About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A Master's Degree plus 5 years of related, relevant experience in Public Health or related health field, with an emphasis on statistics, epidemiology, biostatistics, or an equivalent combination of education, training and applied research skills.
  • Significant, recent and relevant experience in project management and strategic leadership (35 years)
  • Indepth experience using both quantitative and qualitative data analysis (35 years)
  • Experience in effectively leading and supervising a team of professionals
  • Recent and relevant experience in financial management and planning (acquired over a 35 year period) and report writing for publication
  • Proficiency with set up and maintenance of study databases, advanced computer skills including management of statistical software, spreadsheet design, database management and word processing

You may have experience in:

  • An understanding of 'twoeyed seeing' and Indigenous methodologies in the context of research is an asset
  • Experience working with First Nations is an asset

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.
