    Reporting to: Associate Dean of Academic & Vocational Programs

    Salary:

    $ $56.75/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional 2% in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.

    There is an opportunity to enroll in the College Pension Plan, with contributions matched by the employer.

    Description:

    Northern Lights College is seeking an individual who would be interested in instructing the ESHS 037 course by MS Teams.

    This course provides students with the information, academics, and proficiency to impart Intermediate-Level Essential Skills for NLC's Health Care programs that require a Grade 10 ability. With a focus on health sciences, this course will also develop effective cooperative communication, critical thinking skills, and personal and professional development.

    Classes are scheduled Monday - Thursday, from 4:30-6:30pm.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field;
    • Ability to function effectively as a team member;
    • Excellent communication skills; and
    • A commitment to student motivation and success.

    Preferred:

    • Instructional experience at the secondary or post-secondary levels.
    • Credential in Adult Education, such as the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (completed or in progress); and
    • Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
