You are in the process of obtaining certification from or are a graduate of a recognized Human Resources program and have previously held roles where you received compliments about your superior customer service skills.

You are willing to learn, and be flexible.

Your tasks will include the following:

  • Provide customer service at HR Reception to employees, job applicants, visitors and the public
  • Link HR customers to appropriate points of contact
  • Oversee clerical testing
  • Maintain files for current employees and create files for new employees
  • Archive files for terminated employees and administer offsite file storage
  • Retrieve and copy files upon request i.e. in relation to legal proceedings
  • Respond to employment verification requests (written and verbal)
  • Prepare letters of employment
  • Order supplies and ensure forms are replenished, as necessary
  • Arrange for courier services, receive packages
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail
  • Provide administrative support to our Compensation & Benefits team, as needed

Qualifications/Skills

  • Post
  • Secondary Education in business or social sciences preferred
  • 2 years customer service experience
  • Completion of an HR certificate or in the process of completion
  • Superior customer service skills and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to adjust to fluctuating workload, prioritize workload, recognize exceptions (attention to detail)
  • Effective verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working as a team player
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
