Job Summary

Reporting to the COO, the Superintendent is responsible for ensuring proper planning and execution of a 3+ year project resulting in effective delivery and timely results fundamentally based in the areas of Safety, Performance, Quality, Cost Effectiveness, Relationship Building, and Learning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage day to day operations of project operations to successfully reach established goals.
Ensure effective and efficient cost management to complete project on or under budget through planning and coordination of timely resources that consists of materials, tools, equipment, maintenance & people.
Foster and develop internal and external relationships with direct reports through facilitation of professionalism, trust, respect, training, development, & confidence.
Analyze, review, manage, and distribute all drawing/blueprint revisions
Provide culture of continuous improvement and development by mentoring and guiding others to access their own talents and goals through management of performance and feedback.
Ensure accurate and timely reports (e.g. timesheets, requests for repair, Q/C, hazard assessments, safety meetings, inspections, competency forms, etc.).

Qualifications:

5+ year(s) of construction superintendent leadership, with increasing responsibilities, based in civil construction, electrical, underground utilities, and heavy equipment operations.
Microsoft Office, FastField, and Field Wire experience
Valid Class 5 or higher license is required
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Adept at problem solving, multitasking, and team collaboration.
Outstanding time management and strategic coordination skills.
Journeyperson/ Master Electrician or Civil Engineering an asset
