Edwards Entrepreneurship Exploration Summer Youth Camp Leader:
The Edwards School of Business is seeking four Camp Leaders to support the Edwards Entrepreneurship Exploration Summer Youth Camp.

The Edwards Entrepreneurship Exploration Summer Youth Camp Leaders will play an integral role in supporting the Edwards Entrepreneurship initiative and in the School's vision to be recognized as an essential component of Saskatchewan's entrepreneurship community.


Primary Purpose:

Camp leaders will deliver business curriculum to youth attending the Edwards Entrepreneurship Exploration Camps, working directly with youth aged 9 to 14 with the goal of balancing fun with quality learning.


Nature of Work:
Camp Leaders will report to Megan Vandendriessche, Coordinator of Student Engagement and Development.

The camps will be held in both a classroom setting in the Edwards School of Business and outdoor areas on campus.

Camp Leaders will facilitate various activities such as crafts, games, and structured teaching. All aspects of the program delivery are required of Camp Leaders, requiring some level of independent judgment and decision-making.


Hours of Work:
Up to 120 hours between the months of May - August


Camp Leaders must be available for the full two week of the Summer Camps, August 12-16 and August hours per week), as well as periodically for meetings during the months of May, June, July, and August leading up to the summer camp (approximately 16-20 hours).


Typical Duties or Accountabilities:


  • Working within a collaborative student team to support planning and curriculum development;
  • Maintaining a high level of supervision and safe environment for camp participants;
  • Implementation of curriculum and activities during camp; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
You must be registered in an Edwards undergraduate or graduate program (or graduating in June 2024).


Experience/Skills:


  • Experience working with children;
  • Clean criminal record including vulnerable sector check;
  • Business background/exposure is an asset; and
  • First aid/CPR is an asset.
