The River East Transcona School Division is anticipating there will be several full-time positions available for those interested in employment from May to August 2023.
An eligibility list is being established and final decisions will be made pending funding approval.Working as a member of a team, the facilitators will implement a summer program for youth.
VolunTeen will be a summer program that provides youth the opportunity to gain valuable community service activities. VolunTeen facilitators will be responsible for scheduling and facilitating sessions with youth. VolunTeen facilitators will create leadership and volunteer opportunities for youth to participate. Youth will be exposed to the benefits and joys of community involvement. They will be exploring their own goals and interests, develop leadership skills, and job skills such as resume writing. Throughout the week youth will have opportunity to put into practice their knowledge and skills at volunteer sites.
These positions are supported through Green Team funding.
Please indicate if you are between 18 and 29 years of age and a resident of Winnipeg to establish eligibility.
For funding purposes, applicants are also encouraged to declare if they are Indigenous, visible minority youth or youth with a disability.
External applicants must supply a Criminal Record Search and a cleared Child Abuse Registry check upon hire.Salary:
From $14.15 per hour
