We are currently seeking an exceptional senior leader for the role of Director, Corporate Support.Conditions of Employment:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be able to provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Must be able to provide and maintain a satisfactory Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Must be able to travel within the province with occasional overnight stays as required
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Postsecondary degree in social sciences, business or public administration or a related field; a combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience to leverage opportunities for innovation, find creative solutions to issues, and successfully manage change.
- Management experience with responsibility for operational, financial and human resource management.
- Experience translating strategic priorities into clear operational and business plans, and experience with strategic performance management and measurement systems (e.g. Key Performance Indicators, Balanced Scorecards).
- Experience providing leadership and direction in the design and implementation of policies.
- Political acumen demonstrated through experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders on complex topics and sensitive issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Duties:
As a member of the division's management team, the Director is responsible to lead and manage the Corporate Services Branch, provide advice and support to the Assistant Deputy Minister, as well as to other areas of the department.
The branch is responsible for functions that require coordination and consistency across the department as well as compliance with legislation, regulations and standards, including: business continuity planning to ensure compliance with The Emergency Measures Act; workplace safety and health to ensure compliance with The Workplace Safety and Health Act; French language services planning and direction to ensure compliance with Manitoba's French Language Services Policy and The Francophone Community Enhancement and Support Act; department training; space planning and coordination; information/data governance and stewardship; as well as information and communication services for the department, including management of the internal and public facing websites.
