    oJourneypersons shall possess an Alberta Welding Certificate orInter-Provincial red seal.

    o Apprentices shallpossess the education level (High School Diploma) as mandated byregulatory authorities.

    o Pass CWB (CanadianWelding Bureau) welding tests.

    o Read andinterpret blueprints and welding process specifications.

    o Use manual orsemi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal components usingprocesses such as:
    ➢ SMAW –Shielded metal arc welding

    o Determine welding procedures to minimizedistortion.
