Adamson Systems Engineering is a premium audio equipment manufacturer focusing on engineering. High power live performance systems are structurally and thermally demanding, pushing the envelope in both materials and techniques to the practical limit. Our engineering team is responsible for translating the product roadmap to reality using modern technology and concepts. Working in Adamson's Electronics department means working with brand new equipment in a newly-opened, state of the art production facility.


The Job:


As the Electronics Technician, you will join a team of technicians and engineers working towards improving the throughput and quality of electronics products produced here in Canada.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Report to the Electronics Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
  • Work with Electronics production on repair and failure analysis
  • Assemble housings for new QC test fixtures
  • Maintenance of existing test systems including Flying Probe, In Circuit Testing and Functional Test Stations
  • Create and contribute to developing tests plans, tests and fixtures for new products
  • Coordinate with Research and Development Team feeding back any issues/improvements for manufacturing.
  • Schematic and Layout review with Design For Manufacturing (DFM) and Design For Test (DFT) considerations to company guidelines.
  • Analyze test results and make sound conclusions.

Education and Experience:


  • A minimum of a 3year college diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Previous Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.

Required Skills:


  • Familiarity with test equipment e.g. oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of components and failure mechanisms.
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of electronic technologies e.g. SMT
  • Understanding of Audio, Ethernet, Digital/Analogue circuits.
  • Flying Probe/ICT experience.
  • Software (Powershell, C#, Labview, scripting) experience an advantage.
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Highly motivated individual who is striving for continuous selfimprovement.
