- Responsible for attainment of productivity and efficiency goals as set by the Operations Manager.
- Enforces all Company policies and procedures.
- Ensures maintenance and accuracy of all employee records for their shift, including attendance, time keeping, absenteeism counseling etc.
- Provides guidance for monthly safety talks to employees.
- Ensures that all Company safety procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Completes Accident Investigations and ensure corrective measures are taken.
- Works toward meeting all Quality, Downtime and Efficiency targets as set by Operations Manager.
- Interacts with all support functions to ensure a smooth operation of the Assembly Department.
- Ensures that Health, Safety, Ergonomic and Environmental standards are adhered to in accordance with Company policies, the Magna Charter and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Drives the 5S program on their shift.
- Develops and maintains a team-oriented atmosphere at all times.
- Participates in all work refusals and help to resolve them.
- Manages manpower to meet overtime budget targets and ensures the accuracy of RPM on their shift.
- Conducts periodic LPA, product, and safety audits.
- Ensures that ongoing employee training is completed successfully, making sure that workers are properly trained to perform their jobs safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Manages daily activities in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
