We are currently looking for a

Facilities Assistant to join our Corporate Facilities team in a permanent position reporting to the Facilities Manager.


As a Facilities Assistant

you will be responsible for:


  • Compiling weekly on hold reports for Real Estate Team
:


  • Validating and processing monthly invoices for the facilities and the Real Estate department
:


  • Creating purchase requisitions and maintaining a master purchase order listing.
  • Liaison with contractors on payments, purchase orders, safety, service agreements and additional inquiries contractors may have.
  • Assist in various financial processes for facilities and real estate team (accruals, variances, budgeting, etc.)
  • Occasionally, monitor and action facilities requests from head office or field operations.
  • Prepare adhoc financial reports as required.
  • Ability to multitask and work without direction supervision.
  • The ability to plan and manage work under time constraints.
  • Support storm response.

What skills will make you successful?
You recognize yourself in most of the following competencies, and where possible possess the skills and experience listed below:

  • A minimum Grade XII education and a recognized Administration and/or Business Certificate (or equivalent).
  • A detailoriented individual, working to a high standard is what this position needs, and s/he will have strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking and communications skills are required.
  • A commitment to personal development would be an asset in this role.
  • Accounts payable experience is considered an asset.
