R&d Project Coordinator - North York, Canada - O'Doughs
Description
Effectively manages and complete all R&D project administration needs (ie: report and project status timelines).- Effectively work on the trial recipe and related specification sheets.
- Knowledge and understanding of how ingredients with impact the trial process and its end results.
- Able to understand the existing recipes and be able to plan and carry out trials on their own aligning with QA team.
- Liaise and followup with various internal teams to ensure all project related tasks are followedup and executed ontime (ie. R&D, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing)
- Liaise and followup with various suppliers to ensure materials required for successful product trials.
- Arrange for other useful and required resources outlining the needs for the trials and their shelflife evaluations.
- Provide recommendations for unique product requirements based on a deep understanding of company product specifications and latest industry information on materials, best practices etc.
- Support the Sales leads within your respective business group to ensure all projects and customer initiatives are kept up to date.
- Conducts shelflife studies on existing and new trial products and maintains the data of evaluation on regular base.
- Other duties as required related to supporting sales leads and related teams within your designated channel.
- This position will be directly reporting to QA manager.
Required Ingredients:
- Experience in product development & management.
- BS Degree in Food Science or related field.
- Postsecondary education in Business or a relevant field
- 3+ years of relevant experience as R&D coordinator.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Strong organization, problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
