Position Summary:


This Senior Leader position involves managing the company's resources to improve productivity and minimize downtime while increasing profits and reducing costs.

It consists of meeting goals, creating workflow policies and procedures, creating schedules, and encouraging staff to put their best foot forward at all times so that the entire operation functions efficiently.

Full-Time, Permanent


Schedule:
Mon-Fri 7am to 4pm


Salary:
$80,000/year, bonus


Essential Functions:


  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for various warehouse / production activities including verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and maintenance of a current inventory.
  • Performs inspections of physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Prepares work orders for repairs or requisitions for replacement of equipment.
  • Collaborates with department heads in the coordination of warehouse activities with other functions including production, sales, records control and purchasing.
  • Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
  • Collaborates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
  • Interviews, hires, train, and retain staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiating follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and acts as a role model and resource to them.
  • Develops capital and operational budget for the department. Routinely monitors, manages and controls budget, analyzes variances and takes appropriate action and develops plans for productivity improvements. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering presentations, representing the department at minor functions, and interpreting instructions provided in various formats to solve business problems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Equipment / Tools / Technology:


  • Desktop or laptop computer.
  • Networked printer/ copier/ scanner.
  • Google Applications (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.)

Minimum Years of Experience:


Five years of divisional leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, typically demonstrated by a bachelor's degree plus five years of experience or eight or more years of experience.

Experience working in an organization of comparable size and complexity is required
