Your services may include:

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).


Additional Required Qualifications:

Social work experience within an acute care setting within past 5 years. Experience working with Children's Services within the last 5 years. Experience working in Mat/Child and NICU. Ability to work alternate weekends. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification required.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with members of the interdisciplinary team, patients and families in a dynamic health care setting.

Demonstrated problem solving, critical/system level thinking and conflict resolution skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills to efficiently organize and prioritize workload to keep pace in a busy multi-disciplinary patient care.

Demonstrates behaviours consistent with the values of AHS - Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Safety. Experience working with diverse communities, groups and/or organizations (i.e. ethno-cultural, equity-setting, racialized, faith-based, LGBTQ2S+, vulnerable, marginalized, persons with disabilities, and persons across all age groups, etc.).


Preferred Qualifications:

Recent social work pre-natal addiction experience. Recent experience working with pediatric grief and loss. Recent experience working with patients/families facing chronic illness. Previous Connect Care Training.
