Marina's Swim School has an opening for an Aquatic Supervisor, at our new Sports Mall Facility. With over 1500 Students a week and approximately 30+ aquatic staff, this job is busy, exciting, and rewarding. We are proud that our patrons include a wide range of ages, abilities, and cultures. This position works as part of a team to deliver excellent programs and services in Richmond.

Reporting to the Aquatic Director, this position is responsible for:

Focusing on schedules, swimming lessons, special events, birthday parties, and aquatic sports programs as well as recruitment and training of new staff;

- encouraging participation of all age groups in community aquatic activities and programs;
- assisting in managing the operations of the complex

Will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all patrons

- providing leadership and supervision to a large aquatic staff team and performing a variety of administrative duties; and,
- performing other duties as required.

Applicants should possess proven leadership skills, team player attributes, considerable knowledge of the methods, material, equipment, and practices used in managing a public swimming pool; knowledge of the philosophy and objectives of community aquatic programming; knowledge of instruction techniques; and experience in administrative tasks.

Experience in aquatic fitness programming is an asset.

Desirable qualifications include a University degree in Recreation or Physical Education or graduation from a Community College in the Recreation/Aquatics field; demonstrated ability in dealing effectively and tactfully with the public and staff; previous experience as a lifeguard and swimming instructor plus considerable experience in aquatic activities including swimming pool operation and administration and some supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Salary:
$30.00-$35.00 per hour
